Introduction to Acrylic Painting
Acrylics Materials List
For Purchase:
1 – inexpensive set of acrylic paints (Any inexpensive set is fine.)
1 – pkg. of canvas boards or stretched canvases, 11x14 to start
1 – set of Lowell-Cornell synthetic nylon OR bristle brushes, varied styles labeled "For Oil or Acrylic"
1 – disposable paper palette pad (larger is always better)
1 – small artist's natural sea sponge
1 – set of plastic palette knives
1 – small color wheel
Keep it simple and inexpensive!
From Around the House:
PLEASE BRING NEWSPAPERS TO COVER THE TABLE WHILE PAINTING!
1 small, flat cellulose kitchen sponge
Absorbent paper towels or rags
1 or 2 - pint-sized water containers (i.e. empty soup or margarine containers)
1 - # 2 or HB pencil
1 - small pencil sharpener
1 - or more Photo references to use for paintings (Calendar photos are a good start!)
