An Introduction to Acrylic Painting

This is an exciting, intuitive, hands-on class for anyone, at any level of painting experience, who wants to have fun while learning how easy it is to produce impressive acrylic paintings using dynamic intuitive painting techniques!

Using the simple concept of complementary colors and the most elementary principles of the Color Wheel, class participants will learn how to intuitively produce beautiful works of art using complementary colors as the basis for the under-painting of their finished pieces!

No previous drawing ability is required. You do not have to be an artist to participate, but if you are already experienced, this new approach may just take your own work to new heights!

You will learn to use your innate, fundamental drawing skills to sketch out a pleasing original composition on either canvas board or stretched canvas which will be the basis for your weekly and final class acrylic painting projects; or, you can use a favorite photograph as a starting point.

In a very relaxed and casual atmosphere, students will learn the basic artistic concepts of: line, color, perspective, light, form, composition, color theory, etc., developing simple creative techniques that will result in exhilarating and interesting ways to express your artistic ideas while developing your individuality and painting technique.

Each session will be three hours of glorious enjoyment and artistic creation.
